Right this second, I am downloading (and kind of freaking out a little about it) the translation of The Last Ring-Bearer, originally written by Russian scientist Kirill Yeskov and now translated into English by a fan. It’s “a re-thinking of Tolkien’s story in real-world terms” set in Mordor. Read all about it here.
